Discipleship Worker
We are a vibrant Reformed congregation in Lurgan. We believe that the pastoral care and discipleship of our members is a key task. We have identified a growing need to resource the work among the congregation and including women and families. To help with this, we are seeking to appoint a part time discipleship worker to work alongside the ministers and elders. The work would mainly involve meeting up with members to encourage their growth and discipleship and connecting with families to encourage family discipleship.
A successful applicant will be a mature committed Christian with a pastoral heart who is gifted at getting alongside people to encourage them in the faith. They will be able to helpfully apply the Bible to complex pastoral situations and pray sensitively with people. In addition, they will be skilled at explaining the faith to enquirers.
We would require the discipleship worker to be part of the worshipping community at Hill Street in order to make further connections within the congregation.
Hours: 16 per week.
